This module uses fictional normalized hydrogen supply, airflow, stack-voltage, cooling and isolation values to teach system relationships. It does not authorize hydrogen storage service, venting, transfer, leak repair, high-voltage depowering, fuel-cell stack opening or pressure adjustment. Hydrogen systems can combine flammable gas, high stored pressure and hazardous voltage. Use current manufacturer information, approved detection equipment, ventilation/ignition-source controls, PPE and qualified service boundaries.
Separate combustion from electrochemistry → trace energy flow → diagnose by evidence
Hydrogen can power a vehicle in two fundamentally different ways: burned in an internal-combustion engine or converted electrochemically in a fuel-cell stack. This module teaches students to identify the architecture, trace the energy path, recognize hydrogen/high-voltage hazards, and use system evidence before drawing conclusions.
Trace storage, combustion and fuel-cell energy paths
Separate supply, air, conversion, thermal control and electrical isolation
All values are fictional 0–100 teaching indexes—not real pressures, voltages, temperatures, leak thresholds or service specifications.
Identify architecture → triage hazards → trace energy path → compare command and response
Ordered hydrogen-system workflow
Complete the sequence in order.
Evidence
Best supported conclusion / next step
10-question knowledge check
Demonstrate architecture, evidence and safe-boundary reasoning
