Fictional Module Circuit · Power, Ground & I/O Explorer
Explore eight related circuit elements to connect module supply, return, inputs and outputs.
These eight circuit elements are teaching models, not a real wiring diagram, identified terminal or authorization to probe a live vehicle.
Four Module Circuit Paths
Trace four conceptual paths: protected supply, ground return, local switch-to-load and a network-commanded output. No real connector locations, OEM values or wiring colors are supplied.
Trace a circuit path
This trace shows a fictional information or energy path; it neither energizes nor diagnoses a real vehicle.
Voltage-Drop Bench · Fictional 12 V module circuit
Adjust series resistance in a conceptual supply and return path. The model uses a fixed 12 V source and 6 Ω module load. Numbers and the fictional 9 V enable threshold are illustrations—not OEM values, pin tests or service limits.
Predict the observation
What happens to the feed voltage-drop reading when you increase feed resistance while the load is connected?
Model: I = 12 V / (6 Ω + Rfeed + Rreturn), Vmodule = I × 6 Ω. With load disconnected, modeled current is zero and voltage drop vanishes; this does not prove a real circuit can carry current. The 'output' is a hypothetical software response, not an actual automotive driver.
Module Diagnostic Decisions
Six fictional module complaints. Select evidence-based checks rather than guessing, bypassing protection or automatically replacing the controller.
04.3 · Online Knowledge Check
Answer all ten questions to receive feedback and an online knowledge score. This does not test live-vehicle electrical competency or grant permission to work on protected systems.
