Engine Inspection & Tool Explorer
Explore eight instrument, component and workflow groups. Find out which evidence each can provide—and what it cannot prove.
Four Inspection & Reassembly Journeys
Follow a guided route from reliable measurements and parts decisions to assembly hold points and verification.
Bore Geometry Lab · Fictional Measurement Card
Practice a two-height, two-axis comparison on a fictional 80 mm teaching bore. Enter four simulated diameters, then compare the calculated differences against classroom-only example limits of 0.05 mm each. No actual engine is described or evaluated.
Fictional four-reading measurement sheet
All four entries represent a diameter in millimeters. Real OEM procedures may specify more heights, axes, bore temperatures, instrument settings and other measurements.
Simplified out-of-round = maximum |X − Y| at either height. Simplified taper = maximum |upper − lower| along either axis. A training-card comparison is not an OEM service limit, measured clearance, wear diagnosis or component-reuse decision.
Six-point reassembly readiness review
Mark each fictional planning requirement only when it has been reviewed. This is a study exercise, not authorization to begin real work.
The Challenger asks
The fictional bore passes both classroom differences. What can you conclude about a real cylinder?
Inspection & Reassembly Decisions
Six fictional work orders challenge students to choose the supported next step without guessing dimensions, parts or specifications.
