Engine Control Explorer
Explore eight input, control, output and feedback categories. Select each to see its diagnostic role and limits.
Four Input-to-Response Journeys
Follow fictional signal paths from observed conditions through controller decisions to actual response and feedback.
Input → Output Lab · Demand, Plausibility & Feedback
Change a fictional driver demand, a fictional disagreement between two sensor tracks, and an illustrative actuator effectiveness factor. Compare requested input → accepted request → commanded output → physical response. This classroom controller rejects disagreement above an invented 8-point threshold. Real sensor relationships, limits and fail-safe behavior vary by vehicle; never use these numbers on an actual car.
Bars are teaching units, not an actual throttle-angle, pedal voltage, diagnostic parameter, or motor-current model.
The Challenger asks · Command is not response
The controller in this fictional case accepts a 60-unit request, but the actuator responds at 30 units. Which conclusion is supported?
Connect to existing Autonatomy resources
The Course Player keeps prior 07.5 sensor and actuator lessons and simulators alongside this module. Use them to compare sensing, controller output and measured response without treating fictional simulation values as service specifications.
Sensor and Actuator Diagnostic Decisions
Six fictional shop scenarios. Distinguish input, reported command, output hardware and actual physical result.
