Before students arrive

Suggested 45-minute pilot

0–5 min · OrientationIntroduce SIM, LEARN, and ENTER-N-ACTION. Explain feedback and privacy.
5–25 min · Student journeyStudents work through the six-stage Electrical path independently.
25–35 min · Diagnose & explainAsk students to articulate measurement choices and diagnostic evidence.
35–40 min · FeedbackCapture where learners hesitated, retried, or needed help.
40–45 min · Export & closeInstructor exports observation data from each device before clearing anything.

Times are suggested, not software-enforced. Adjust for learner experience and device access.

Student stages

1. Electrical foundationsIdentify voltage, current, resistance and energy.
2. Circuit analysisApply Ohm’s Law and circuit reasoning.
3. Instrument selectionChoose measurements and interpret evidence.
4. System contextConnect circuit reasoning to starting and charging.
5. Evidence portfolioDocument a diagnostic argument.
6. Practical handoffPrepare work for instructor verification.
